      Absolutely first class service and a wonderful meal. We can’t fault any aspect of our visit to the Chef’s Table. The food was fantastic, the service was spot on, the atmosphere was cosy and lovely.

      When we go away for a weekend with friends, we always try to hunt out a restaurant that is a little special. Not one that is flashy, up market or up itself....but one that has consistently good reviews and offers a masterclass standard of dining....We have found some treasures over the years....where the chef has taken full ownership of their menu and limited the food offered in order to be able to focus on providing the best ingredients that are cooked a d presented with love and care. Conrad has achieved this... There are some little niggles about the restaurant is small and very closely seated, the volume of conversation is loud, the tables small and cluttered needlessly with fake flowers and a tealight. But there are lovely touches too...vinyl lps playing (one player in each room), a top up of the water carafe without being asked, someone willing to ring us a taxi, the pride that the lead waitress had in their food and her willingness to engage in conversation about bread, churning butter and favourite puddings despite being so busy!! The food was carefully planned and executed and the right size portion - and a good price. We all enjoyed all of it ....thank you Conrad!! I have been asked to compliment those shepherd's pie faggots ....and I will now attempt lemon curd pavola as you did!! Good luck for the future xxx More
